Our small gated community of approximately 14 homes has a pool, and a 165’ pier. Our beach house is the only beach house in our subdivision that faces the Sound which is only about 30 steps away! We are on the east end of Pensacola Beach, nestled directly beside Portofino, the premier vacation resort on the entire Gulf Coast. You can’t get a better location!
Pensacola Beach is only about one block wide where our home is. There is water on both sides of our subdivision. Our Pensacola Pelican faces the Sound/Bay, which is just across the street with no homes to block the gorgeous view! (The Sound is the body of water between Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach.)
During the day you can watch sail boats, barges, and fishing boats slowly moving out to sea in the Sound. As the day ends you can catch a beautiful, water color sunset. Then, as evening approaches, the lights from Gulf Breeze start reflecting on the water, and the stars and the moon come out to add the finishing touches.
A little over one block walk behind our home, just across the road from our entrance, is Pensacola Beach and the start of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. You literally have about 14 miles of pristine, undeveloped white sand Gulf beach, with no homes on either side, as far as you can see!
You can drive the couple miles east to the end of the road that will some day connect Pensacola Beach to Navarre Beach, but right now it is still being repaired. However, you can go far enough to stop at the picnic area, bath house and showers.
There you will not find any stores, no shops, no homes, no condos, nothing but the Gulf on one side and the Sound on the other, with you in the middle!
The private community pool is a short block away within the subdivision. Swim, fish or go crabbing off our pier which extends about 165' out into the Sound.
The water in the Sound, which is the body of water between Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach, is very shallow for a long ways out. It's perfect for wading, or building sand castles and writing your name in the white sand along or our own smaller, private beach.
If you're lucky, you'll find hermit crabs making their home inside some empty shells along the water's edge. Look quick before they tuck their head back inside their safe haven!
Just outside our subdivision, across the street, is the gap in the sand fence that the county has left open for us so that we can easily cross over from our gated community to the Gulf. We even have a wagon in the garage so you won't have to carry everything.
If you prefer not to walk, there is also a parking area just outside our community across the road and about a block to the west, right in front of the Gulf, with a boardwalk across the dunes!
Hard day at play on the beach? Rinse off with our hot and cold outdoor shower when you get home. Need to unwind at the end of the day? Relax in our master bedroom whirlpool/jacuzzi tub, then get cozy in a lawn chair on one of our decks and watch the beautiful sunset. You can choose from our 10’ x 30’ covered patio, 10’ x 30 ‘ covered deck, or our 10’ x 25’ open, bird’s-eye-view top deck.
Our beachhouse is your beachhouse! We have worked hard to make sure our home is clean, smells good, and is very comfortable and well equipped. We have furnished our home as if we were going to live there. You will find many amenities in our beachhouse that you won't find in other vacation homes, such as family games, beach towels, pool mattresses, blow dryers, books, cookware and utensils to serve at least 20, cookbooks, a charcoal grill and a propane grill.
Our dining room table seats 8, in addition to the bar that seats 4. All together, with the 2 sofas and individual chairs, we can seat at least 22 in the open dining room/living room!
There is a 36” television with surround sound and DVD player in the living room, and a TV in every bedroom, some with DVD/VCR players.
Bed sizes include 2 kings, 1 queen, 1 full bed, 1 twin, 1 twin long, 1 roll away, and 2 queen sized sleeper sofas. A twin long bed is the same length as a king sized bed and half the width.
All linens are provided. Our sheets are quality sheets and our towels are white and soft!
